How does the X Series fold?
The frame folds in half at the middle, and the handlebar and pedals fold too. You open the lock and fold it with one hand. Folded, it takes much less space.
Is a folding frame strong enough?
Yes. The frame is made of alloy steel with stainless steel joints at the fold, and it has a lifetime frame warranty. It is a full-size bike with 27.5-inch wheels, so it rides like a normal cycle.
Will it fit in my car?
Folded, it fits in the boot of most cars. No bike rack is needed.
Do I need a licence or registration to ride it?
No. All X Series bikes have a 250 W motor and a top speed of 25 km/h, so under Indian rules they count as bicycles. No licence, registration or insurance is needed.
Which X Series should I buy?
X1s: up to 60 km on one charge and single speed, for flat city rides. X1s V2: the X1s with a bigger battery for up to 75 km, plus PulsePods lights. X1 Pro: up to 75 km, Shimano Altus 7-speed gears and lockout suspension, for slopes and mixed roads. X1 Pro V2: the X1 Pro plus PulsePods lights.
What are PulsePods?
Lights built into the handlebar. They can stay on, glow softly on and off, or flash, so people can see you in traffic and at night. They come on the X1s V2 and X1 Pro V2.
How long does the battery take to charge?
About 5 hours for the 10.4 Ah battery (X1s) and about 6 hours for the 13 Ah battery (X1s V2, X1 Pro, X1 Pro V2). The battery comes out, so you can charge it at home or at your desk.
Which frame size do I need?
Medium fits riders from 4'11" to 5'4". Large fits riders from 5'5" to 6'2". Both carry riders up to 110 kg.
